Jeff has more than 30 years’ experience in the sport of triathlon. His passion for this sport has seen him training and racing around the world, involved with administration and management roles at club level, and international level with Triathlon NZ teams management. Jeff’s 25 year career with the NZ Police has provided him with excellent communication skills, and the ability to relate to all people and all communities. It also gives him personal experience of working shift work whilst competing at the highest level in Ironman Triathlon, and thus understands the athlete with a spouse, family, career, social life, and the importance of making sure all the pieces fit together. Jeff has competed over the Ironman distance 20 times, including 12 times in New Zealand where is a member of the Ironman NZ Hall of Fame, and 6 times at the holy grail of Kona. As a coach since 2013, he has guided over 100 ironman completions across a range of abilities, but also countless triathlon event distances from sprint to Olympic to 70.3.
