DESCRIPTION:Over four evenings in November and December\, the Twilight Swim Run Series celebrates Auckland’s rich history of swim-run events\, welcoming athletes of all levels—from emerging juniors to Olympians and Ironman champions. Point England provides the perfect setting for quality racing\, with distances that honor the sport’s past while embracing its future\, from traditional swim-run formats to Supertri-style racing. Each day features four races: Kingi’s for ages 12 and under\, the seniors’ race for 19 and over\, the Rookie race for newcomers to open water swimming\, and the main junior race\, which simulates a true race environment with a marked transition area and penalties for equipment violations. Juniors gain valuable experience ahead of the 2028 World Age Group Championships\, and there is also a tag team option where one athlete swims and another runs. To make participation more accessible\, we offer free entry for competitors who volunteer on race day. We’re working with local clubs and coaches to make this series a key part of the sport’s development pathway\, encouraging all participants to join a local triathlon club. Whether racing solo\, in a tag team\, with a club\, or cheering from the sidelines\, the Twilight Swim Run Series welcomes every triathlete—regardless of experience\, shape\, size\, or pace.
