The Tri NZ Suzuki Cross Triathlon North Island Championship is brought to you by the Hawkes Bay Triathlon Club.
This race is part of the true off road multisport event, that is the Platinum Homes Back Paddock Off Road Challenge.
The majestic and forever-changing Ruahine Range acts as the perfect backdrop for these awesome fresh water lakes and location for the Cross Triathlon National Championships 2020. The dedicated native wetland area is approximately two hectares and includes seven islands made up of channels and open water separated by native plantings and local wildlife. This makes for a unique experience like no other and the ideal location for the swim, mountain bike and trail run course.
The Cross Triathlon race consists of a fresh water swim, mountain bike and a trail run at the end just to keep you honest.
Starting on the shoreline, the swim will be a 1 lap course in the clear waters of the spring fed lake directly from the Ruahine Ranges, then traversing onto a purpose built mountain bike course and finishing with a trial run through the native wetlands.
The Platinum Home Back Paddock Off Road Challenge is a true experience and an event like no other.
