The triathlon festival was established in 2010 and has been the biggest all inclusive triathlon event in Canterbury since it’s inception. There are events for all ages and abilities from 5 year olds to elite athletes.

The festival includes a draft legal event for elite athletes and strong age groupers, teams events, non drafting racing, kids and junior events as well as a duathlon options. Past winners include olympians Andrea Hewitt, Nicky Samuels and Tony Dodds.

Smooth roads on a 5km circuit make for a spectator friendly bike course as does the 2.5km circuit around the lake.

This is the Secondary Sprint Selection Race for the 2019 World Champs being held in Lausanne, Switzerland.
