NZ Aquabike Suzuki Championships

2020 will be the third year the Aquabike has been part of the Napier Port Harbour to Hills and it will be more exciting than ever. It will be the Suzuki National Championship Aquabike and qualifier for the ITU World Championships in Almere, Netherlands. The Aquabike will consist of a 2km swim and 125km bike. This event will be open to individuals only.

Saturday 25th January 2020 

3.00pm till 6.00pm – Registration & Bike Racking (East Pier Hotel & Perfume Point Reserve)

3.00pm till 6.00pm – Bike maintenance and repairs open and available, any services or parts to be paid directly to Cranked Cycles and Triathlon. (East Pier Hotel & Perfume Point Reserve)

Sunday 26th January 2020

5.30am –  Transition opens
Body marking at transition entry—Race numbers on upper right arm and right leg. Team swimmers hand only
6.30am –  Swim course open for warm up
6.30am –  Transition closed
6.50am-  All swimmers must be out of the water, Important notices for the event.
6.55am –  5 minute warning for Individuals
6.56am—Karakia welcoming and opening of event
7.00am – All Individuals including AquaBike start (Beach start)
7.15am – All team swimmers start (Beach start)
8.10am – Swim cut off for Individuals and Aquabike
8.25am – Swim cut off for Teams
8.35am -All swimmers must be out of the water, Important notices for the aquathlon  event.
8.40am—5 minute warning
8.45am – All Aquathlon swimmers start (Beach Start)
9.20am – Swim cut off  for Aquathlon swimmers
11am – Prize Giving Aquathlon
12.30pm – Cycle cut off for Individuals
12.35pm – Cycle cut off for Teams
1.45pm  Cycle cut off Aquabike
2.15pm – Transition open for bike & wetsuit removal
3.30pm – Run course closed for Individuals
3.35pm – Run course closed for Teams
3.50pm  – All bikes must be removed from transition
4.00pm – Prize Giving at Perfume Point Reserve at Event Venue
