Event Accreditation

Triathlon New Zealand provides event accreditation to triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon and other related multisport events to ensure they are delivered in a safe and fair environment. 

 

There are three levels of accreditation that include a range of benefits ranging from technical support to promotional leverage. Each level of accreditation aims to:

  • give added value to event organisers
  • enhance the quality of events
  • build a strong and connected network of event providers
  • promote and leverage triathlon events nationwide

 

Any triathlon event that is accredited can purchase the following add-ons at the additional price (GST exclusive):

  • Independent Health and Safety Audit – $700 (Save $100)
  • Competitive Event Insurance – up to $1000 reduction on market rate (depending on event)
  • On the ground officials/community ambassador – $300 for out of town, $150 for local
    • Recognised – maximum of 1 officials in a community/support role
    • Endorsed – maximum of 2 officials
    • Sanctioned – as required in consultation with Technical & Events Adviser
  • Additional Support from Tri NZ Technical & Events Advisor –  Minimum $200 charge-out

Promotion

 

  • Use of sanctioned logo; proof that event is safe, fair and delivered to the highest standard
  • Promotion through Triathlon New Zealand’s social and media networks.
  • News feature in TRIBE Newsletter (fortnightly newsletter to 18000+ subscribers)
  • Any media release provided by event organiser shared through Tri NZ Facebook page
  • Link to event in fortnightly TRIBE newsletter

 

Technical Support

  • Access to Add-ons
  • 1 x Technical Delegate for duration of event and two months prior
  • A detailed review of event information i.e.:
    • Transition plans
    • Medical
    • Traffic Management
  • Support during Health and Safety Auditing process
  • Post event report
  • Monitoring and enforcement of Tri NZ Competition Rules by Technical Officials
  • Tri NZ Technical Manager available for advice and support pre-event, including 1 scheduled pre-event meeting
  • Access to Tri NZ Event Guidelines

 

Cost

  • $1200 +GST
  • $150 for local official +GST
  • $300 for out of town official +GST
  • Number of officials to be decided in consultation with Tri NZ Technical & Events Adviser and Technical Delegate.

Promotion

  • Use of Endorsed logo – proof event is safe
  • One Facebook post promoted through Tri NZ FB Page (3 day promotion, max value $30, paid by Tri NZ)
  • One feature in TriBE newsletter (fortnightly newsletter to 18000+ subscribers)
  • One media release provided by event organiser shared through Tri NZ Facebook page
  • Link to event in fortnightly TRIBE calendar

 

Technical Support

  • Access to Add-Ons
  • Tri NZ Representative present at event
  • Basic review of event checklist
  • Post event checklist/report
  • One pre-event meeting with Technical Manager – max 2 hours
  • Access to Tri NZ Event Guidelines

 

Cost

  • $500 +GST

Promotion

  • One Facebook post promoted through Tri NZ FB Page (not a paid promotion)
  • One sub-feature in TriBE (fortnightly newsletter to 18000+ subscribers)
